About the Role
Every customer deserves a dedicated partner who can effectively help them organize and orchestrate their journey toward success. As a Key Account Manager at Earth Rated, you will be the key driver in helping our customers achieve their goals by providing expert insight, strategic guidance, and unparalleled support from big-picture planning to day-to-day challenges. This role has a dual focus: managing and enhancing relationships with our largest retail customers, and expanding Earth Rated’s footprint across major retailers in the Northern European market. You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities and driving Earth Rated’s market success while supporting our mission to paint the world in Earth Rated’s colors!
Responsibilities
Customer Success & Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key retail customers, providing support and solutions that enhance long-term partnerships and drive customer success. Address challenges proactively to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Forecasting & Planning: Develop and execute sales plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, to achieve monthly and annual sales targets in the European market.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales performance, and market trends, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, finance, operations, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and anticipate market shifts. Use insights to inform strategies and differentiate Earth Rated in the market.
Cultural Awareness & Localization: Demonstrate an understanding of the Northern European market, including cultural nuances and language skills where applicable, to tailor approaches that resonate with local customers.
Innovative Problem-Solving: Embrace challenges with a creative, solution-oriented mindset to develop out-of-the-box approaches for building and enhancing customer relationships.
Customer Success & Retention Strategies: Develop and implement strategies that enhance customer success, focusing on retention, loyalty, and maximization of customer lifetime value.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all activities adhere to industry regulations and standards, maintaining Earth Rated’s reputation for quality and compliance in the European market.
Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel as needed for client visits, trade shows, and other field-related activities, enhancing customer engagement and driving sales.
Our ideal candidate has
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the CPG industry and retail account management.
Proven experience in sales forecasting, planning, and performance analysis.
Strong capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Practical knowledge of using commercial data and advanced analytics tools to extract insights that add value to retailer presentations.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
High language proficiency in English is required; proficiency in German is a bonus.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and other relevant sales tools.
Ability to travel and engage in customer-facing activities across the Northern European market.
