Associate Engineer Factory Innovation DS1 Full Time

Job Description:

The Factory Innovation team is part of the Regional R&D function of Mars Wrigley, whose role is to deliver value to the business through new product implementation, driving product quality, assuring consumer safety and promoting efficiency through the execution of local, regional and global activities.

Based in Veghel site, the Associate Engineer Factory Innovation will be working on different type of projects (affecting the product, packaging and process) and represent the R&D team for the project, within the production site.  As a member of the regional Factory Innovation team, the job holder is expected to be able to coordinate the required support from other functions necessary to support of their projects and deliver activities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of FI function.

The role requires close collaboration and stakeholder management with key partners within R&D, Supply and Commercial, to ensure optimal project execution, risk management and timely delivery. To do that, they will be responsible to specify the right process technologies necessary to support the changes at hand, run verification trials and to then validate the production settings on start-up, to ensure efficient and sustainable scale production that meets all product and packaging quality requirements

What are we looking for?

• A college or university degree on food/packaging technology and/or engineering or extensive working experience in production environment
• Problem solving attitude & project management skills
• Good communication skills & ability to collaborate effectively across different functions
• Works independently and receives instruction, guidance, and direction with general supervision
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Perform defined assignments in the entry level of the technical leadership career band
• Implement new packaging, product, and raw materials by creating process specifications to achieve all quality standards and deliver efficient operation
• Manages & leads R&D line trials by coordinating requests with the Supply, R&D, Engineering and Commercial to ensure optimal execution and knowledge capture
• Apply problem solving tools to evaluate, risk assess and translate new packaging, products, and raw materials to the factor
