Job summary
As a Head of Managed Services Practice at Valiantys, your primary responsibility will be to spearhead and manage the development of our Managed Services business. This critical role will involve driving internal alignment, resource allocation, and promoting the practice to clients, ultimately fostering business growth and ensuring long-term success for the organization.
The position also entails identifying key stakeholders, facilitating knowledge sharing, and gathering feedback to fuel continuous improvement across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Enablement
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to enable Sales teams to generate new service opportunities, grow existing customers and expand the client base
- Identify and pursue potential business opportunities, proactively engaging with strategic clients, partners (Atlassian and more partners specific to the practice), and industry thought leaders
- Work with the rest of the Solutions team to productize our services as much as possible to standardize sales/delivery processes and maximize repeatability and profitability
- Collaborate with and support the Sales and Product Marketing teams to develop compelling solutions with clear value proposition and go-to-market strategies
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities
- Work with the solution marketing team on the creation of marketing collaterals (webinars, playbook, trade shows participation, data sheets, whitepapers, articles...)
- Create and maintain a use cases/case studies/references library for the sales team to use
Financial Performance
- Manage the practice's annual budget, closely monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies and value-based selling approaches
- Monitor and communicate around key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction, taking corrective actions as needed
Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of practice leads & members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to enhance their performance
- Develop and implement effective resource allocation strategies with the community of practice leaders to optimize project and internal tasks delivery and ensure efficient utilization of resources
- Create and maintain enablement plans for the practice
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Team to hire and manage the onboarding program of new Practice Team Members
What you need to be successful
- Proven experience in leading and developing practices or business units in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong track record in business development, including strategy creation and execution.
- Expertise in resource allocation, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
- Solid understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes in technology consulting and solutions.
- Experience working with partners like Atlassian and an ability to build strategic alliances
