Your mission

We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and results-oriented Head of Marketing to accelerate its momentum and leadership in the hospitality technology market. The candidate brings a proven track record of scaling awareness and creating a differentiated brand image for disruptive and innovative companies, preferably in the hospitality technology industry. The candidate must bring excellent leadership and team-building skills to the table, along with an ability to be scrappy, flexible, and a life-long learner. A proven track record of out-of-the-box thinking is a must have quality. The ideal candidate will have a well-developed executive presence and be a trusted advisor to the CEO, COO, and rest of the executive team.


 The ideal candidate must combine strategic thinking with the operational oversight needed to realize the company’s strategic direction. The candidate will embody a “can-do attitude” and always be a creative problem solver when obstacles arise. The candidate will lead the creation of unique and differentiated messaging for the company’s brand and sharing the corporate story globally. This role will successfully promote the company through strong messaging, customer advocacy, PR, communications, and visual identity including executive communications.  Reporting to the COO, the Head of Marketing must have experience developing, managing, and executing on brand management, customer advocacy, and communications.

This person will have strong leadership skills and the network and confidence to develop and hire a world-class team.


You will:
  • Build and lead a best-in-class Marketing team that is data-driven and focused on outcomes aligned to our corporate strategy.
  • Creating and driving the strategic development, implementation, and evolution of Ireckonu brand strategy to increase visibility and familiarity with the customers, partners, and market. 
  • Lead the development and elevation of our brand in the industry ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Define and implement a strategy that engages prospects, customers, and influencers by creating marketing assets and activities that can be used to generate leads, pipeline, and other key results.
  • Develop and execute the communication strategy for media, influencers, users, and partners.
  • Work with stakeholders to drive the most creative and differentiated expression of the company via the website, blogs, publications, and media.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders in maximizing efforts to grow the brand awareness, sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Analyzing market information and the competitor landscape, liaise with customers and other sources to gather industry data for sales, marketing, and development planning. 
  • Develop strategies and plans for demand generation for the year ahead to plan, build and run inbound marketing programs to drive and accelerate overall marketing pipeline growth.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure alignment of strategies with regional sales plans and local market priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to provide appropriate prospect outreach and guidance regarding demand generation follow-up.
  • Oversee the development of thought leadership content to drive demand generation via marketing campaigns run through different channels – email marketing, blog posts, guides, webinars, events, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Responsible for the marketing calendar to ensure consistent coverage across the month and across the geographic territories

This position has daily interactions with customers, team members and various critical departments within the organization. In many cases, interactions with both internal and external parties will be at mid and upper management levels.


Your Experience Includes

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience with marketing strategy, management and overseeing demand generation in a fast-paced, preferably in a start-up to scaling company (of which 5 years in the hotel-tech industry).
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills actively engage global and local stakeholders.
  • Skilled and proven experience in ideating and bringing new internal and external brand and awareness campaigns and ideas to life.
  • Experience in evolving a company’s brand awareness and perception in a competitive market category, by leading with differentiation and creativity.
  • Mastery in building, getting buy-in, and executing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving, technical environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Adept at using data and analytics to track and measure results and inform decision-making and strategy direction.
  • Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and strong project management skills.
  • Experience in managing B2B marketing campaigns, social media channels, or similar experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
  • Knowledge and experience within travel/hospitality software industry is a must
  • Ideally the candidate has similar work-related experience, preferably including roles within a corporate and an agency setting with demonstrated proficiency related to the position
